Appreciate Good Photography

Your support helps art thrive

Welcome & Appreciation

Thank you for dropping by!

If you've arrived here intentionally, it likely means you appreciate me, my work, or both — and are curious about how you can support my journey. That means a lot to me, and I'm truly grateful for your interest.

Ways to Show Your Appreciation

Refer Good Clients to Me

Not everyone is the right fit for my style of photography, and that's perfectly natural. To create the best photos possible—and to remain on good terms even after the shoot—it's important that our styles and expectations align. This often requires thoughtful discussions and some trial and error with new enquiries, which means only a portion of them become real client projects.

Because I focus on bespoke photography rather than mass‑market work, it helps tremendously when more people are introduced to my portfolio before reaching out. If you know someone who may appreciate my approach, please introduce them to me or share this guide on how to refer clients. Referrals are one of the most meaningful ways to support my work and increase the chances of connecting with the right people.

Write Me a Testimonial or Review

A simple testimonial helps more people understand me and my artwork, so that potential clients may feel confident to work with me.

Engage with My Social Media

Follow my Instagram and Facebook accounts (@skaichanphotography), even if you aren't active on them. Whenever you see new updates, please interact by liking or commenting.

This helps to overcome the algorithms and ensures more followers get to see my posts. If early viewers don't engage, platforms may assume the post isn't interesting and limit its reach. A quick LIKE or a short positive comment makes a big difference!

Share Our Work on Social Media

If you've worked with me before, please upload the photographs to your social media (Facebook/Instagram), tag my account, and credit me in the caption. It's even better if you include a recommendation to encourage your friends to book a session or follow my accounts.

Introduce Volunteer Models

My schedule is usually packed with client projects, but on rare occasions I may create educational or experimental work to test equipment or explore new ideas. Sometimes this happens only once a year, and in some years not at all. For these limited opportunities, I may look for suitable volunteer models who bring both the right look and a positive attitude. Please note that these sessions are strictly for learning and creative development, and are not a substitute for professional bookings.

You can sponsor photography equipment to support my artistic growth. I focus on quality over quantity, which means I take on only a limited number of clients each month. Sponsorship allows me to improve efficiency, experiment with new techniques, and push my creativity to a higher level. Every piece of equipment contributes directly to producing better work for both clients and educational projects.

Lend Me a Venue

If you have a suitable space, let me know. Friends have kindly lent me their homes, gyms, and cafes for photoshoots, and such support is always appreciated.

If you happen to have a space that offers complete privacy and could be loaned to me as a permanent studio, that would be the most valuable support of all — allowing me to create consistently and expand my work at a deeper level.

My Heart Speaks

Reality is cruel - no matter how good or special my work is, it's useless if nobody knows about them. Photography is a sunset industry and I'm struggling to pursue it and create more artwork for everyone.

Your help to make my artwork known to more people will greatly be appreciated as it will boost both my confidence and perseverance. Yes, you can definitely help to make a difference in both my life and the photography industry!
