Food photography is a way to appreciate food.
Different people may have different expectations of a food photo. For me, my ultimate goal is to make the food appealing to the viewer, such that he or she will have the urge to taste it.
The angle, composition, lighting and depth of field allow different variations, which makes food photography interesting. I love to see the texture of food, such that it will look as real as possible.
Taking photos of food is a great way to respect the chef who is often also the food stylist.
